New video: " Ima Boss " by Meek Mill Feat. Rick Ross

Keeping the promo wheels turning, Rick Ross & Maybach Music release a new video off the compilation album "SELF-MADE" by Meek Mill titled "I'ma Boss"

LeBron's Big Game

Hey BlvdAve, let's jump right in. In case you missed it, this is how Game 4 went down.

Game 4 pitted the Dallas Mavericks with their theorhetical backs against the wall vs the Miami Heat in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. The buildup is neccessary primarily because typically a team down 2-1 with two games left to play at home wouldn't neccessarily mean it's a "back against the wall" type of scenario.

But for Dirk Nowitzki and the rest of the Mavs, it couldn't quite get any worse.

The Mavs star power forward registered a temperature of 102 degrees Fahrenheit, epically pushed forward in attempts to bring his team one game closer the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy. With the story lines circulating around 6th man Jason Terry's 4th quarter performance in Game 3, the rest of the Dallas Mavericks' seemed to be able to help out teammate Dirk Nowitzki when he needed them the most.

But there was something missing...

In another defensive battle, the Dallas Mavericks pulled together to even the series with the Miami Heat 2-2. Jason Terry started the 4th quarter with consecutive baskets, giving the Mavericks and an ailing Dirk the inevitable edge they needed to pull out one more, giving them great momentum heading into Game 5.

Despite Dwayne Wade having one of his best performances of his playoff career, the Miami Heat could not close out, once again, when it mattered most down the stretch. Udonis Haslem and Chris Bosh both played with their recent usual playoff consistency, scoring 24 and 4, respectively. Udonis Haslem's productiction was not neccessarily on the box score, but as his hustle and aggressiveness under the basket, freeing up Chris Bosh on multiple occasions to hit open shots and break to the basket.

But there was still something missing...

LeBron James played more minutes than anyone on both teams, logging 46 totals minutes of floor time. And came out of the game with a mere 8 points on 3-11 shooting, 0-3 from 3pt and 2-4 from the line. LeBron created a riddle that no one can seem to figure out in Game 4. He has all the talent in the world, but seemed powerless. He has all the athleticism on the planet, but appeared grounded. His indifference and ineffectiveness in Game 4 was jarring, and the amazing part is the Heat almost survived it.

Something the Dallas Mavericks can't be too happy about.

"You don't want to give them two chances to close it out at home, so this is our Game 7 and the last home game for this year in this building," said Dirk Nowitzki. "It should be a great atmosphere and hopefully we can pull it out."

And Dirk also understands the type of pressure Dallas now has with LeBron looking to obviously play a lot more aggressively.

"I expect them to attack like they did in Game 3 where [Dwyane] Wade and LeBron got to the rim a bunch of times early," Nowitzki said. "We've got to be ready defensively. That's where we really made a mistake defensively in Game 3. We weren't ready to play on the defensive end and that's what really got us in trouble."

Rick Carlisle says the pressure is just a part of the job description.

"We love pressure," Carlisle said, "and the more the pressure's on, the better our team has functioned all year long. So bring it on."

So with Game 4 a mere memory and a tie-breaker on the horizon, let's take a look at some of the keys to tonight's match-up.

Your Sports 1st & BlvdAve Presents:

Game 5 keys to victory

The Obvious

Lebron James scored 8 points in 46 minutes of play, his worst offensive playoff game of his career and probably life. I expect that not to be the case in Game 5. Despite LeBron's poor offensive performance the Miami Heat still only lost by two. This is something positive for the Heat looking forward going into tonight's game.

As long as LeBron improves slightly from his perfromance in Game 4, the Heat should have a strong chance of heading back to Miami looking to close out this headache of a series against the once thought soft, one-dimensional Dallas Mavericks.

But if LeBron continues to fade in the bright lights of crunch time, then not only Dwayne Wade who seemed to jar at Wade to motivate aggressiveness late in Game 4, and Pat Riley & Co. will be undoubtedly scratching their heads at how the best player on the planet can dissipate on basketball's biggest stage.

The Sick
Dirk Nowitzki battled a 102 degree temperature to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a Game 4 win, but is it any better. To anyone who has ever experienced a fever or flu knows first hand the weakness that the virus can take hold of the body. So when Micheal Jordan bombed 38 points against the Knicks, it was to be noted that he was playing against 6 defenders. The same goes for Dirk.

More interesting in this matter is whether or not the other players in the series get exposed to Dirk's virus. The Mav's inevitably played with biological warfare as they Dirk out to compete with such a critical sickness, exposing germs to not only the opponent but his own teammates. Watch closely tonight as alot of players might be blowing their nose, or playing significantly less effective.

Nice move Dallas.

So tune in tonight at 8pm ET as the Dallas Mavericks look to wind out their home stand against the Miami Heat and have two opportunities to try and close out the series down in South Beach.

And look for No. 6 from the Miami Heat on the court.

I heard he's pretty good.

Freshness: adidas Originals Roundhouse – Iron / White/Reef

What is the single best adidas Originals lifestyle sneaker design not borrowed from one of Three Stripes’ classic models?

Since its debut last spring, many have answered that it’s the adidas Fortitude, a model that seamlessly melds rugged outdoor aesthetic traits with a smooth and satisfying lifestyle look.

And though it’s not a direct sequel, the new adidas Originals Roundhouse is a fitting follow-up, almost like tossing the Fortitude into a Boggle chamber for a totally different arrangement, then adding a midfoot strap.

The latest colorway to hit retailers is perfect for summer with a beachy tonal grey and teal look of which you can see more images after the jump, then grab a pair from FinishLine.

Bottom Line: Dallas Mavericks Window Closing Fast

*Your Sports First & BlvdAve Finals Special*

Heat v Mavs Game 4 Preview

As the sun settles in The Lone Star State, the Dallas Mavericks will look to stop the bleeding that the Miami Heat have inflicted. Drawing the first blow against the momentum shifting Mavericks, the Miami Heat suffocated the highly potent Dallas offense down the stretch and took their role players out of the game completely.

Dwayne Wade says night in and night out that the Miami Heat lay their hat on defense. And after the 88-86 shutdown on Dirk & Co. I can believe that they just might. Equipped with 3 of the leagues top 20 scorers and 2 of the leagues top 3 scorers, the Miami Heat have a unique advantage against most teams by relying so heavily on lockdown defense and using their offensive dominance when it matters.

So the plate is definitely full for the Dallas Mavericks. Looking at a 2-1 series tonight at the American Airlines Center for the Mavs and the window for a ring is starting to get alot smaller.

James is Magic, not Jordan

So let's take a look at tonight's key to watch:

The Dallas Mavericks

Dirk Nowitzki has to have help-

Here are some of the lines from the bench in Game 3 for the Mav's and Heat:

Team Totals 86

The most unflattering vision of this series thus far, is the fact that it looks exactly like the Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat. Dirk Nowitzki has been the only consistent offense and it has been difficult even for him to penetrate or get open looks. Although Dirk's shot is so close to perfect that it rarely matters if he is defended or not, he is finding extra added pressure from defenders who close out during his turnaround fadeaway. Ultimately making it hard for him to get comfortable and in a rhythm.
The fact that the other 11 players of the Dallas Mavericks have yet to significantly step up in these NBA Finals, enough so that an otherwise serene Dirk Nowitzki went in on Mav's fire-starter and usually consistent spark off the bench guard Jason Terry.

"They keep sticking him [James] on Jet in the fourth quarters and he's been doing a good job," Nowitzki said. "Jet hasn't really been a crunch-time, clutch player for us the way we need him to."
In the Mavericks past two losses against the Heat in these Finals, Terry has been 0-for-7. Although Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has elected to stick LeBron James on Terry much like he did Derrick Rose in the Eastern Conference Finals, Dirk still sees room for opportunity.
And he's also not shying away from going in on Terry to motivate better play.

"We all know Jet. He's a confident young man," Nowitzki said before Tuesday's shootaround. "He knows we need him to close games out in the fourth.

"I'm not really worried about it. I didn't call him out. I was just stating a fact. He knows he had zero points in [the fourth quarters of] Game 1 and Game 3. He knows that's not going to cut it."

And Terry feels likewise.

Terry's response to Nowitzki's clutch comment: "Truth, truth, it's all truth."

Terry must now answer on the court
It's going to be interesting to see what Dallas does to make sure they don't go into their last game at the AAC Thursday with their backs literally and figuratively against the wall. It will also be just as intriguing to see how Miami responds with an opportunity to truly seize the moment with a team reeling from a devastating defensive style loss. Jason Terry just may have added insult to injury as well by making these statements after being called out by Dirk Nowitzki.

"They know to take me out of the fourth quarter, which they didn't do in Game 2," Terry said of the Heat's choice to turn to James defensively, "then they got a good chance."

Added Terry: "Let's see if [James] can defend me like that for seven games."

Last thing Miami needed in this series was bulletin board material, and especially not LeBron James, who responded after all the hype behind the comments.

"You got to let sleeping dogs lie sometimes. But, maybe he's trying to get himself going and maybe that's what he looks for. You never know guys' motivation and their tactics and everything behind stuff. We know that Jason Terry is a great player and he's going to really try to impose his will tonight and we really have to be ready for that."

And as for James potentially wearing down from guarding Terry for seven games.

"LeBron is 26," Dwyane Wade said.

"He’s not going to wear down and he’s going to look forward to the challenge."

So tune in tonight at 8pm ET on ABC, or whatever local affiliate you have that broadcasts the game, because this is going to be probably one of the hardest fought games of the series.
