Sneaks on the ave: The Reebok Insta Pump Fury



Few sneakers scream 90s design like the Reebok Insta Pump Fury with its jagged patterning, layered construction, and typically loud colorways. We've heard a few disparaging remarks about the unorthodox design on these, but heads who can appreciate Reebok's innovation know the deal with these 1993 classics.

Fortunately the retro treatment has been generous, most recently with the two pairs pictured above. We've got one in Tron Team Purple and Orange, a super colorful sneaker that is a few shades off from a New York Knicks tribute.

The other shown here comes in a fairly simple Black/White/Grey set up with some quick hits of pink

Swizz Beatz x Reebok Partnership Officially Announced @ Project, Las Vegas


Reebok released a series of Shawn Kemp signatures in the mid ’90s under the Kamakaze name. They also dropped a 2K10 update last year, so while the design is clearly similar, it’s a bit confusing that the as yet unnamed pictured sneaker will also be the Reebok Kamikaze.
Considerably more clear is that this is Swizz Beatz’ Reebok sneaker and their partnership was officially unleashed at a recent event in Las Vegas. Swizzy showed up in a Jean-Michel Basquiat tee and showed off the new shoes at Project in Sin City, including a crazy pink snakeskin pair made in commemoration of this year’s Grammy Awards. A release date for the Swizz Beatz x Reebok shoe has yet to be announced...
