Lupe Fiasco On O’Reilly Factor

Lupe was on the O'Reilly Factor a couple days ago, and we wanted to post this to show our viewers that hip-hop does reach a vast variety of platforms and our favorite artist are even being invited to said platforms to speak their minds on current issues and discuss their statements (i.e. Lupe Fiasco calling President Obama a terrorist). Lupe Drops a vid for quite possibly the best track off the aforementioned album, and its good to see a video that actually goes along with whats being said in the song. Props to MTV for premiering the video yesterday !!!

MAGAZINE WATCH: Lupe Fiasco graces the cover of XXL Magazine

Lupe’s no choir boy, but he does cover the May 2011 edition of XXL. Below he gives another reaction toLasers debuting at number one on Billboard. Issue hits newsstands April 26th.

I wasn’t completely overwhelmed, because now I have to go into the business meetings,” he said. “Now I’m waiting for, ‘If you didn’t say you hated the album in that interview, we would have done 300,000.’”

Also in this issue, Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco also boasts about his lyrical skills and why he deserves to be considered one of the best emcees ever.
Fiasco admitted that he made a more [pop-sounding] album than he would have liked with Lasers and isn't proud of the artistic compromises he had to make. While he might not feel comfortable making pop music, Lupe is confident with his skills on the mic; even going as far as calling himself one of the best lyrical MCs in the game at the moment. "I can actually make the argument, seriously, that, Yo, I'm better than all y'all," he boasted. "You have people who can say that. Jay-Z can say that. Eminem can say that. Canibus can say that--if we are going line for line. If you want to relate me to the newer cats, let's go. Let's go line for line and bar for bar. If it's all about spitting and metaphors and MCing and lyrics and entendres, I will eat 99 percent of you dudes up." (XXL Mag). Lupe Fiasco Lasers Tops The Charts

Hands down, arguably the best track on L.A.S.E.R.S "All Black Everything"



Lupe’s first week numbers are in and as predicted, Lasers beamed its way to the top after moving approximately 204k units since its release March 8th. This marks the rapper’s first album to debut at number one.
