Shows for the Culture: Everyday Struggle





On Monday’s (Mar. 2) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks kick off the show recapping last week’s episode with Waka Flocka Flame. The crew then answers fan questions about whether they agree with Waka’s sentiments on being a ‘wack rapper,’ and list out their favorite gems from the viral interview. Next, the EDS trio shares their thoughts on the ongoing issues Megan Thee Stallion is facing with her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Soon after, the crew continues the conversation on label troubles with Juicy J’s recent Twitter rant, where he expressed his frustrations with Columbia Records. Later in the show, the squad speaks on Tee Grizzley calling out Royce Da 5’9” for stopping a potential collaboration with Eminem. To close out the show, the trio reviews Drake’s two new freestyles—‘When to Say When’ and ‘Chicago Freestyle,’ which he released over the weekend on Soundcloud.

Interviews for the Culture: Jadakiss Talks New LP ‘Ignatius,’ with Everyday Struggle





On Wednesday’s (Mar. 4) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks are joined by Lox member and rap legend, Jadakiss. The crew and Mr. Raspy kick off the show discussing the upcoming release of his new album, ‘Ignatius.’ Soon after, Jadakiss elaborates on the reason he postponed the album’s release date, and talks about the tribute he pays to his long lost friend Jay ‘Icepick’ Jackson, throughout the project. Later in the show, the EDS crew brings up an old tweet from Jada where he advised young rappers to not get managers. Halfway into the show, Jadakiss speaks on the benefits of signing to major as well as the benefits of an artist going indie. Kiss also discusses with the trio his thoughts on the label drama Diddy and Mase are going though and to close out the show, Jadakiss speaks on whether or not cares about album sales and charting at this point in his career.
