Sneaks on the Ave: Staple x size? x New Balance 577

Sup everyone, Mike P here.

Yes I'm still alive and I apologize for my long vacation from the Ave.

So some of you may have seen the teaser pics that flew around last week of the new 577 model from New Balance collab'd by sneaker legend Jeff Staple and size? that was rumored to be dropping soon.

Well, a few days ago (yes I know I'm a bit late, forgive me), some full shots were released of the 'Black Pigeon' 577.  The Black Pigeon is Jeff Staple's third installment and collaboration with New Balance.  His first two (the Grey and White Pigeons) are still some of the harder pairs to come across today.  Also, you may remember the story of Staple's Pigeon SB Dunk? You know, the one that started riots and forced the store to have cabs waiting out back for those who bought a pair to make a quick and clean getaway? Yeah. Those.

Well, these pictures have surfaced and it seems like he has another hit on his hands.

I'll be honest, these shots were a little off-putting at first.  I didn't think there was a correct use of materials (perhaps a black suede would have been better).  But upon further investigation, I found out these will be a weatherproof shoe and an added felt lining for warmth and ripstop nylon on the upper as well.  The white midsole adds a nice pop to the shoe and the rope laces help throw in some contrast too.  And it wouldn't be Jeff Staple without some pink hits somewhere.

All in all, this is an exciting shoe.  Stay tuned for release information, but for now, it is said that the release will be at Reed Space on November 17th. I'm not sure about an online release, but a guy can dream.

That's it for now, guys.
