Sneaks on the AVE: Christian Hosoi x Vans Core Sk8-Hi

Should skateboarding historians count Christian Hosoi among the skaters whose footwear preferences were strongly influenced by Air Jordans?  If you were to look over Hosoi's collaborations with Vans on the Legends Pack, you'd see him rely on black and red and/or black and royal blue colorways, both of which were prominently featured on the original Air Jordan 1 he's depicted wearing in countless classic photos.  All of this MJ-infusion in the past is what makes Hosoi's Vans  SK8-His so unique despite their simple designs.  Navy/white and tonal black getups seem far enough out of the Christ Air originator's expected range that they're a nice surprise for the holiday season, and you'll find them soon at select Off the Wall retailers.

Sneaks on the AVE: Nike Air Pegasus ’92 – Upcoming Colorways

Earlier this morning, Sneaker News showed you how Nike Sportswear is bringing together over a decade and a half of Tailwind series runners for their new hybrid design, but here's one that remains unchanged a full twenty years after its debut.  The latest round of Nike Air Pegasus '92s has a slightly anachronistic vibe about it not because two of the four pairs bear the colors of classic Air Mowabb ACG releases from around the same time, but because back in the day, the Swoosh didn't typically spread these colorways across different silhouettes like pretty much every brand does in modern times with 'pack' releases.  With that in mind, maybe this is just the 'fire pack', because each pair including the two tonal grey leather joints, all have that look that'll have classic running fans making these hard to find.  Check out some more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News & BlvdAve for the US release dates.
