Sneaks on the Ave: Staple x size? x New Balance 577

Sup everyone, Mike P here.

Yes I'm still alive and I apologize for my long vacation from the Ave.

So some of you may have seen the teaser pics that flew around last week of the new 577 model from New Balance collab'd by sneaker legend Jeff Staple and size? that was rumored to be dropping soon.

Well, a few days ago (yes I know I'm a bit late, forgive me), some full shots were released of the 'Black Pigeon' 577.  The Black Pigeon is Jeff Staple's third installment and collaboration with New Balance.  His first two (the Grey and White Pigeons) are still some of the harder pairs to come across today.  Also, you may remember the story of Staple's Pigeon SB Dunk? You know, the one that started riots and forced the store to have cabs waiting out back for those who bought a pair to make a quick and clean getaway? Yeah. Those.

Well, these pictures have surfaced and it seems like he has another hit on his hands.

I'll be honest, these shots were a little off-putting at first.  I didn't think there was a correct use of materials (perhaps a black suede would have been better).  But upon further investigation, I found out these will be a weatherproof shoe and an added felt lining for warmth and ripstop nylon on the upper as well.  The white midsole adds a nice pop to the shoe and the rope laces help throw in some contrast too.  And it wouldn't be Jeff Staple without some pink hits somewhere.

All in all, this is an exciting shoe.  Stay tuned for release information, but for now, it is said that the release will be at Reed Space on November 17th. I'm not sure about an online release, but a guy can dream.

That's it for now, guys.

stfuMikeP on the AVE: Upcoming Nike SB Greatness

What's up world, Mike P back from a long break from the Ave.  I felt a little outdone by Curt and Tim on here so I'm back in action bringing you some upcoming heat from Nike SB.

WHAT DID I TELL YOU!? Huh? I said it before and it's coming true! The Nike SB Entourage "Lights Out" Dunk Low is scheduled to release as an April Quickstrike.
The black on black Dunk Low with blacked out cement print on the upper (set with the white midsole and gum outsole, which was a little different from the friends and family release) has gone through more schedules of scrapping and cancellations than any SB Dunk that I can remember.  The hysteria over the Cheech and Chong Dunks isn't even comparable to the Entourage Dunks.  People were paying rape prices when they thought these were scrapped...I may even have considered it for a second, but I waited, and I'm glad.  You can be sure to see me camping out at Uprise or Belmont Army come April.  These have been on my list for some time now, and these sure as hell aren't getting away from me.

Next up is the Jersey Fleece Stefan Janoski Low.

These simple beauties have been on my radar for a while and I can't wait to get my hands on them.  These are actually available as we speak.  Grab em quick! These Janos have an all fleece upper and a nice black contrast piping to match the black alternative laces.  Beautiful shoe.

That's all for now.  Check back in a couple of days as I will be showing some more upcoming Dunks and Janoskis.

As always, follow me on twitter and tumblr.

The Nike Air Moc ACG has released in an eclectic variety of colorways and materials befitting its unique design, this latest edition echoing a design style popularized by another avant garde Swoosh sneaker.
The Air Moc LT features a
woven leather upper that differs from the various Footscape releases primarily by its use of a much wider strip for more of a checkerboard appearance. This one has a tonal black upper that goes nicely with the white sole and grey accents and is currently slated as a summer 2011 release. Check through the pics to get a better look and stick with BlvdAve for word on the US drop date of this shoe. We're kinda feeling this joint, what do you guys think : Hot or Not ???

Hot or Not ??? Nike LeBron 8 P.S. ‘Dunkman’

Props to Sneaker News for the info on this shoe !!! On their site they recently showed sneakerheads a custom pair of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Dunkman’done by sneaker customizer and artist c4.

That was a great conceptualization of the ‘Dunkman’ had it been done on the V/2, but this year’s release will take form of the LeBron 8 P.S. this May 13th.

Here’s another detailed look at the yearly Nike LeBron staple; the matte finish on the Fuse upper adds a cyborg-esque look to the Cool Grey upper, and the perfect accents of Electric Green make these one of the most futuristic-looking LeBron shoes we’ve ever seen.

Check out the images and if you can’t wait around, snag a pair now from air-randy on eBay.

So sneakerheads, I pose the question to yoU: HOT OR NOT ??
