Freshness: Nike SB Zoom FP – White – Gum

With Eric Koston’s first Nike SB signature sneaker and the crazy Kobe Bryant collabo are getting a ton of attention at the moment, you may have forgotten about the other Swoosh skateboarding shoe to which Koston was attached.  But just look back in the history books (or read through the Sneaker News archives) and you’ll find that Koston was the man of the hour when the “Technical without all the bells and whistles,” Nike SB Zoom FP hit retailers late last year.  Most of the colorways since then have been dark but here’s a new Future Primitive that looks dope in a mix of white and gold with a stripe on the forefoot midsole to suggest gum rubber.  Another great white summer sneaker alternative, you can find these at select Nike SB retailers like Goods.

Nike Blazer Mid – Micro-Perf Swoosh Pack

In the six weeks or so since early April, Sneaker News has shown you four different pairs of Nike Blazers that feature side panel Swooshes made of perforations.

The perfs in these Lows and Mids (two each) are so deep, they reveal your socks, and the motif will be revisited once more with the Nike Blazer Mid micro-perf Swoosh pack.

They’re just like the grey/Volt and Ink/Filament Green pairs we’ve shown you in terms of color and material blocking, this new duo offering your choice of brown/white and yellow/black.

Look through the photos see more and stick with Sneaker News & BlvdAve  for word on a possible US release; they just hit NikeStore China.

Hot or Not ??? Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka

For a Summer 2011 release, Boston’s Bodega teamed up with Nike Sportswear for a special edition colorway of the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka, featuring Bodega insignia around the shoe as well as the ‘Black Cat‘ theme on insole. Combining earthy tones of tan sueded and brown weaving, the Bodega x Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka turned heads not for its gorgeous display, but based on the simple fact that Nike Sportswear did a collaboration with a store – an occurrence that has become somewhat of a rarity for NSW. Here we have a new detailed look at the upcoming release, so be sure to circle your calendars for late May as these will hit Bodega on May 28th.

So What do you guys think, HOT OR NOT ???

Hot or Not ?? The Nike Air Moc ACG

The Nike Air Moc ACG has released in an eclectic variety of colorways and materials befitting its unique design, this latest edition echoing a design style popularized by another avant garde Swoosh sneaker.
The Air Moc LT features a
woven leather upper that differs from the various Footscape releases primarily by its use of a much wider strip for more of a checkerboard appearance. This one has a tonal black upper that goes nicely with the white sole and grey accents and is currently slated as a summer 2011 release. Check through the pics to get a better look and stick with BlvdAve for word on the US drop date of this shoe. We're kinda feeling this joint, what do you guys think : Hot or Not ???

Hot or Not??? Air Jordan 3 "stealth"

Props to Marqueesole ! Right at the beginning of the upcoming school year is the Air Jordan III in a sleek colorway combining Stealth Grey with the classic Bulls trio of Varsity Red, Black, and White.
These have been compared to the Air Jordan III ‘Cool Grey’ that dropped a few years back, but these are probably better compared to a Jordan CP3 Tribute colorway that hit stores last year.
Then again, any new colorway of an Air Jordan can be seen as a ‘tribute’ to the original colorway, so what do you think of the ‘Stealth’ edition?
Does the combination of colors bring out the best of the Air Jordan III. We’ve posted a couple detailed pics for you to see so take a look and let us know what you think.

Hot or Not ??? Nike LeBron 8 P.S. ‘Dunkman’

Props to Sneaker News for the info on this shoe !!! On their site they recently showed sneakerheads a custom pair of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Dunkman’done by sneaker customizer and artist c4.

That was a great conceptualization of the ‘Dunkman’ had it been done on the V/2, but this year’s release will take form of the LeBron 8 P.S. this May 13th.

Here’s another detailed look at the yearly Nike LeBron staple; the matte finish on the Fuse upper adds a cyborg-esque look to the Cool Grey upper, and the perfect accents of Electric Green make these one of the most futuristic-looking LeBron shoes we’ve ever seen.

Check out the images and if you can’t wait around, snag a pair now from air-randy on eBay.

So sneakerheads, I pose the question to yoU: HOT OR NOT ??

FRESHNESS: Air Jordan XI IE Low

Its back !!!! Props to Kicks-Lab once again for the info. Although when these originally dropped back in the day I couldnt stand em, since then I have had a change of HEART !!! Its lowcut, heavily ventilated in-season sequel of a design can be seen to foreshadow modern basketball performance models like the Hyperfuse, LeBron 8 V2 and Zoom Kobe VI, which goes to prove that the Air Jordan XI IE Low was truly ahead of its time when it released in the summer of 1996. This original black and Red colorway has aged well, with the only notable change for this new release a smokey translucent sole that should serve to prevent any yellowing as you show these some love in your sneaker rotation over the next fifteen years. Check out the limited size run currently available from Kicks-Lab.

Definitely a must have during the hot summer days, ladies & gents if you're trying to be FRESH !! Plus THEY'RE JORDANS, you can never go wrong with Jordans baby !!!

Hot or Not ??? Nike SB dunk low space jam

The Air Jordan XI Space Jam was the hot shoe of the year leading up to its release in late 2009, earning it the top spot of Sneaker News’ Top 30 Sneaker of 2009. The Space Jam theme spilled over to 2010, as we saw a number of custom kicks, general release shoes, and even Air Force 1 Bespokes inspired by the gorgeous Air Jordan design, and for May 2011, Space Jam will touch down on the not-so-distant plane of Nike SB.

Here’s a look at the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Space Jam’, featuring a black patent leather upper paired with black mesh, roped laces (as seen on the Air Jordan XI), blue typefont on the tongue label and heel, and a translucent ‘ice’ sole paired with a white midsole. These SB Dunk beauties are a dream come from true for those who love seeing ‘cross-over’ projects, and this is certainly the best Space Jam SB Dunk that could possibly be imagined.

FRESHNESS: The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Draft Day’

SHOUT OUT TO Kicks-Lab for the pics !!!

Imagine if Kobe Bryant had played the first years of his career with the Charlotte Hornets. Would the team (or any other, for that matter) have moved to New Orleans? Would Kobe’s desire to win championships lead to him willingly pairing up with Shaquille O’Neal? Would the Oklahoma City Thunder even exist? The questions don’t end there, but these hypotheticals are part of the reason why the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Draft Day’ is so compelling.

The dope colorway certainly doesn’t hurt, but it’s definitely worth debating whether Bryant’s star would have shined as brightly had he not been traded on the night of the 1996 NBA Draft for Vlade Divac. Click through to see the convergence of what is with what might have been and stick with BLVDAVE for updates on the Zoom Kobe VI Draft Day, currently slated for a May 26th release.

HOT OR NOT ??? JORDAN RETRO 5

Hot or Not ??? Nike Air Max 95

Nike Sportswear has employed the Bright Mandarin shade of orange on a number of retro runners this spring, and with two different Air Max 24/7s offering their own grey/white/orange mix, it seems only right to include the immortal Nike Air Max 95 in this discussion. This upcoming pair of Ninety-Fives offers a slightly modified take on the classic grey-dient including a black mesh layer that converges into the aforementioned shade of orange on the eyelets. Proof that not all black and orange kicks have to look like a jack-o-lantern, these new Air Max 95s are slated to hit select NSW retailers during the first week of April so click through to see more and stick with BLVDAVE for word on the US release.

With the Easter holiday a month away, expect to see a ton of pastel tones sprinkled around your local convenient store, church, or retail shop. This Air Jordan VII retro colorway for girls features nice easter-egg hues of blue and purple, matched perfectly with neutral grey – more like the Year of the Bunny instead of the Rabbit. These have begun to hit Jordan Brand retailers, so check your local spot to see if they’ve them in.

Hot or Not ??? Nike Air Jordan 6-17-23

Here’s a look at an all-new colorway of the Air Jordan 6-17-23; it features a familiar combination of Black, Varsity Red, and Cement Grey, made popular by the Air Jordan IV. The upper features combination of flat synthetic black leather and nubuck leather for the two-toned contrast in material, with a net-weave material on the center. The speckled cement grey midsole spans the entire front end and finishes off on the rear portion as well as on the ‘spoiler’. What do you think of this new colorway of the 6-17-23. Hot or Not ??? Nike Air Trainer SC High

PROPS TO SNEAKERNEWS ON THE INFO !!!

The original ‘Bo Jackson’ Air Trainer SC High is considered to be one of Nike’s best designs ever. It set the precedent for Nike Training and was rife with Nike’s brightest technology (like the tensile fibers on the upper that would be the precursor to Flywire used today). This IS THE new colorway of Grey, Obsidian, and Circuit Orange. Eastbay just got these in right now so take another look below and don’t miss out on these if you’re a Nike Trainer nut.

So what do ya think ladies & gents, HOT OR NOT ??

This time around, he gets to work with the original Air Jordan shoe that is the foundation of Jordan Brand – the Air Jordan 1.

The Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro features White’s sublime graphic touch on the upper, using red brush strokes and copious floods of metallic gold in White’s personal style of layers and splatters. Premium canvas, call-out to White’s ‘canvas’ of choice’ can be found on the tongue tag, with a pristine lasered inner lining. Environmentally Preferred Mesh is also utilized on interior walls of the shoe. White furthers his reach beyond the shoe with a special Air Jordan ‘Wings’ logo on the box painted in his trademark motif as well. Just twenty-three pairs of the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro exist, and will be auctioned off at http://solecollector.com/ .
