Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid Shield ‘Rivalry Pack’ – Army + Navy

The competitive nature among the divisions of the United States Armed Forces represents itself quite well on the college football field, as the Army/Navy rivalry is as strained and heated as some of the most noted match-ups in history. The Army/Navy game dates back to 1890 and is commonly played in Philadelphia (somewhat of a neutral ground considering the city is roughly equidistant to both academies), and is now played during the second weekend of December - the final game of the season for both teams.
The 112th annual Army/Navy Game will be held on Saturday, December 12th, but preceding that historic bout will be the release of the Army and Navy editions of the Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid Shield 'Rivalry Pack'; both versions represent the academy colors perfectly, with both pairs featuring special graphics on the heel. The Army utilizes a tonal beige colorway with the signature Army typefont on the heel, while the Navy uses a dark blue digi-camo with flag badges - both accurate depictions of each respective division.

Expect both to hit Nikestore on December 9th at a price of $115 (and be quick with your draw because these will clear out fast).

Sneaks on the AVE: Nike Air Max JR ‘Cincinnati Reds’

The recent release of the have taken an unofficial formulaic approach of tonal colorways attributed to the teams that played for. The last tonal-black pair we showed you was dubbed the 'White Sox', although Jr.'s time with the South Side was rather short. Here's another look at the Tonal Red 'Cincinnati Reds' colorway - one we showed you back in March; it features a sinister Varsity Red covering the entire shoe with a white swoosh on the the toe as well as on accents on the lace-hoops. If the tonal team theme continues, how awesome would an all-Freshwater pair of JRs be? Check out the additional shots of this November 2011 release below and let us know what you think.

Sneaks on the Ave: Jordan Brand unveils some of its summer 2012 Retro releases

Is 2012 shaping up to be even better than 2011? The Summer 2012 season alone is enough argument to make that case. In addition to the Air Jordan XI Low in White/Black/Red as well as the Air Jordan XII 'Cool Grey', Jordan Brand will re-release the Air Jordan IV 'Military', Air Jordan XII 'Playoffs', and Air Jordan XII 'Obsidian'. The upcoming Retros of the  Military IV and Playoff XII will mark the third overall release for each shoe, while the Obsidian Mids will be the first ever re-release for that shoe (quick trivia: Name the un-retroed OG Air Jordans II-XIV). Check out all three after the jump and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Jordan Brand 2012 releases. via AirForce1s on NT.
